Beautiful piece which appears to be antique sandwich glass in the “sawtooth” or “Mitre Diamond” pattern. This piece is the bowl of a lidded salt or horseradish bowl; we do not have the lid. These pieces appear to have been manufactured in the 1840 - 1860 or 70’s range.

3 3/8”t, 27/8” top d, 2 3/8” foot d.

It is in very good condition for its age with only a small chip on one of the top row diamond center points (see picture) and some roughness on a few edges which may be from the manufacturing process. There is also blacks flecks on the pedestal (see pictures). Maybe they can be removed (we didn’t try too hard) and they aren’t very visible from a display distance.
